Gift Shop

Our Annual Holiday Exhibition & Sale Opens on November 1st

Holiday DisplayHoliday shoppers will find unique handmade gifts of lasting value made by American artisans at our legendary Holiday Craft Sale. This is the 33rd year for this annual event which encompasses three floors of our historic (circa 1780) restored grist mill that overlooks the Still River at Halfway Falls.

The sale opens on Saturday November 1st at 10am with people lined up at the door and runs every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas through December 31st. This three decade old event began with just a handful of artists and lasted for just one weekend, but these days it showcases the work of more than 200 artists and lasts for a full eight weeks. It has grown to become one of the largest and longest running retail exhibitions of handmade American craftwork in the Northeast. We are open Monday through Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sundays from 12-5pm. Admission is always free.

For the gift-giving season, we transform our Mill Building into the ultimate "un-mall" atmosphere - one of the friendliest, most enjoyable and rewarding shopping experiences you will find. This year we expect well over 7,000 visitors from across the state and the Northeast region to make an arts & crafts pilgrimage to the Center to buy heirloom quality fine craftwork.

The event is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable volunteers, students and artists, many of whom have work in the show. Bring your friends & family and spend time exploring the impressive collection of unique handcrafted gift items on display including pottery, jewelry, woodwork, blown glass, ornaments, designer clothing plus hundreds of other functional & decorative items for the home and wearable art for the body.

By shopping at Brookfield Craft Center this holiday season you will acquire distinctive and affordable gifts and you will also be supporting the participating artists and our non-profit school which trains aspiring craft artists.

We are easily located just east of the Rte 25 and Rte 7/202 north of Danbury off exits 7 or 9 of Interstate 84.
